Scott’s Bio

Scott Hedberg is the Managing Principal of hedberg search, conducting a national search practice out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Performing searches in the areas of senior-level to executive-level positions. Scott has fifteen years of experience as an executive recruiter, which is why, many well-respected businesses use and recommend his services.
Before becoming a successful executive recruiter, Scott excelled as a financial advisor while working at Smith Barney and Robert W. Baird. After an impressive 10-year run, Scott decided it was time to pursue his long-term goal of owning and running his own business.
In 1996 Scott founded hedberg search, a boutique executive search firm conducting searches on a national level. Over the past fifteen years Scott has established himself in the executive recruiting industry and has become a highly regarded name. Scott holds a Business Degree from Winona State University and was on the Winona State University Business Advisory Board from 2001-2004. Scott also served as President on the Minnesota Association of Personnel Service (MAPS) Board in 2005. MAPS is an organization of 90 search firms with offices in Minnesota.
Aside from his professional life Scott also leads an active lifestyle. Scott is health conscious individual who participates in daily workouts at the Calhoun Beach Club or other fitness facilities in the surrounding area. Born and raised near the lakes of south Minneapolis, Scott knows the lay of the land and is often seen running or biking the lakes. He likes to relax and hangout with his eclectic circle of friends.
Jon’s Bio

Jon Hedberg is an Executive Recruiter at hedberg search. After playing professional hockey for three years in both Europe and North America, Jon joined hedberg search as a full time recruiter. Having grown up around the business, it was an easy transition. Since high school Jon has been working at hedberg search, with his role and involvement increasing each year.
Before his ventures in the professional hockey world and at hedberg search, Jon played for the Duluth East Greyhounds winning a State High School Championship in 1998. He then moved on to a three year junior hockey career in the Ontario Hockey League. Upon graduating from the Ontario Hockey League, Jon attended and graduated from York University in Toronto. Majoring in Specialized Honors Communications, he strengthened his verbal and communication skills, which are essential in the recruiting industry. During his senior year at York, Jon was assistant captain of the Men’s Varsity Hockey Team, demonstrating his leadership abilities, work ethic, and commitment to excellence. Twice during Jon’s four years at York the team participated in the University Cup (National Championship Tournament), winning the Queen’s Cup (Ontario Championship) in 2004.
Jon has gained world and cultural perspective throughout his travels in life. Whether it is Canada, Germany, Austria, or Texas, Jon has had experiences that you cannot teach in schools. Away from the office Jon enjoys working out, being with friends, and simply enjoying life to the fullest. Jon can be found enjoying the great outdoors or at a local hockey rink, playing a pick-up game with friends.
